Super7 Florida Halloween Extravaganza

Super7 Florida will be hosting a shindig to help commemorate the holiday and celebrate the arrival of the new Mummy Gator in his first colorway. Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. on Halloween day, snacks and refreshments will be provided. Those who arrive in costume will receive a special Trick or Treat goodie bag. More surprises to follow!

I am happy to announce the opening of San Francisco's SUPER7's sister store here in St. Petersburg Florida. Judy & I attendended the Grand opening 08/29/2009 and had a blast.

Allthough the opening "officially started" at 7:00pm, we arrived early, to find the location, get some lunch, and generally check out the area. We met Scott Dias (Stealthtank to you SBer's) & his charming wife Lauren, and was shown around the store.

From Kaiju, t-shirts, prints, original art, (and a few UglyDoll's thrown in) this is a vinyl collectors dream come true.

As most of our individual pieces for our collections come from Kaiju stores like Super7 in San Francisco, Secret Base & Realxhead in Japan, and from fellow collectors, to have a store in our own backyard is truly a god (or in this case) a Godzillasend.

My many thanks to Bryan Flynn, (Super7 SF California), for feeding the addiction of us vinyl addicts here in FLA.

This is the 1st Captain (out of all my FHP's) that has the broke off tooth to the right of the left fang painted. I have not seen any of the previous releases with it painted.

If I remember correctly, Stumpy was included in some of the grab bags Pushead sold at SDCC 2008. Once he is charged up, will glow forever.

Released Febuary /2009 this was the 1st Skullpirate to have a stump, instead of a left arm.

(on the left) Released 01/10/2008 "ME HEARTY FREEBOOTER NEWTON" Skullpirate.

This was the 1st in a series of three bottleholding Pirates, to be released in a 5 month period.

(on the right) Released 02/12/2008 "YE FAIRWINDS JOURNEY" Skullpirate.

#2 in the release both came with the "Hand Prints" on the back.

(Just for the record, I did the Pirate bottle thing 1st! LOL)

RECAP

So to recap on the Vinyl Junkies Skull Vikings, I have all that have been released, with the exception of #20. I really like that they are continuing their relationship with Blobpus, and coming out with some great colorways.

As there is very little information on the web (virtually none), about Vinyl Junkies, and the Vikings, this has been one of my reasons to continue this blog, as I believe I am the only source of compiled information about these figures, with pictures, release dates, & run numbers (if any). I feel this is a great looking sculpt, and the more info given, the easier it will be to acquire.

OK, I know it's been awhile since I posted anything new..................... No excuses, no life altering experiences, haven't lost my job, or anything like that. I just put it down as pure unadulterated laziness. If nothing else, let's just call it a sabbatical. Now back to the vinyl!!

#17 Milky White & Silver

# 17 in the continuing Skull Viking series, milky white body, blue eye, and hilighted in silver, makes for a great color combination. Add to that a silver cross that completes the look.
